Day 2- Downtown DC

We got up early, got ready and drove to the Metro Station. We rode the 50 minute packed Metro to downtown DC. We got off at our stop and walked a little while to see the White House. We took a few pics of the boys with our phones considering we could not bring our cameras with us. We got some good pics of everyone then walked around the White House for our tour. We entered in and showed us our ID and went through security. Once inside we started at the Library, then the Vermeil Room, China Room, Dipolmatic Reception Room, Map Room before heading upstairs. Once upstairs we followed this line into the East Room, Green Room, Blue Room, Red Room and the State Dining Room. That was all we got to tour as the rest is the Private living area for the President and his Family. We went outside on the other side then where we came in. We walked across the street to the Gift Shop. We walked around there but did not get anything. We then walked to the Natural History Museum. We decided to get a bite to eat first then walked around the museum. We started with the dinosaurs, then moved to the Mammals, then finished off with the bugs. We left and found an ice cream store and sat there for a little bit. We walked over to the Metro and got on the the train to the Metro Center, changed trains and went to our stop. We drove home and vegged until dinner. After dinner we just sat around and visited while the boys played. We went to bed around 10:30 that night.

Washington DC Trip.

Camron and I had the privilege of going to Washington DC/Maryland area for 6 days. After school (3:45 ish) Tuesday we drove to Spokane. We arrived in Spokane at my brothers house. Since it was his actual birthday we decided to take him out for dinner that night. We took him to Longhorn BBQ in Airway Heights for dinner that night. After dinner we had him take us over to BC house. My Brother was keeping our car for the week that we were gone. We visited a while then My Brother took off. About a half hour later, Mom and Dad arrived. We went to bed and woke up the next morning at 3:30 am. We drove to the Spokane Airport for our flight at 6:00 am. We landed in Salt Lake to snow. We had a 45 minute layover in which we tried to look for a place to eat breakfast. The only place we found was a Krispy Kreme doughnut stand. We each grabbed a doughnut and a yogurt. We got on the plane and left Salt Lake at 9:35. The plane to DC was a 4 hour and 1 minute flight. It was a long flight. We arrived in DC at 3:45 ET. We grabbed our luggage and headed for the Metro. The Metro is like the Subway in New York. Once on the Metro we had about 1 hour and 20 minutes to get to the TS house. We had to change trains once with all our luggage was a success. We arrived at the stop that TS live and S was there to pick us up. When we arrived at their house, we put our luggage where it was suppose to go. S had dinner already for us (Hawaiian Haystacks). The boys were excited that we were all there so we just hang out the rest of the night. We went to bed early knowing we were having to get up early.

Fathers Day Celebrations

We celebrated Fathers Day on Saturday for my dad because he had to work Sunday until 8:00 pm. The other reason was everyone from my side of the fam was in town. We decided to buy big white poster board and wrote messages to him. My niece also colored a picture for him. We wrote the messages big and went and posted them all along the driveway from the road up to the house. He loved them when he got home. We started cooking dinner immediately after he got home because we thought it may rain sooner. We ate dinner and then decided to let dad open gifts. He loved all of them especially the new bright orange tie downs for his truck. The card game started and we decided to eat dessert which was a chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream cake. We finished the card game and decided a little girl needed a bath so she could go to bed. We left and went to Albertsons to pick up food for Sunday dinner.

Sunday:
We went to church and were surprised to see my father-in-law there. He was able to attend our ward and enjoy fathers day with his wife. After church I had a meeting and then went to deliver my dad a bag of cookies at work. He loved them. I went home changed and pick up Camron and went to his parents house. We ate dinner at 4:45 pm. We had ribs, beans, fruit salad, and potato chips. Once dinner was over we all cleaned up and let my FIL open his gifts. Once most of the fam left we decided to watch a movie. We watched Karate Kid and went home around 10:30 at night. What a fun weekend it was. Now onto Monday for more training at work. So excited for Summer Camp to come.

Happy Fathers Day to my dad! I am so glad for the dad that I have. He has been there in my life when I needed him (such as locking keys in car, running out of gas and so on). He has done that with all three kids and we love him very much. He is also a great papa to a little girl that loves him so much.

A Baptism and a wedding.

Wednesday morning we left for Arizona. We were headed there for my nieces baptism and my brother in law got married to his sweetheart. We left at 9:15 from Pasco Washington. We flew to Seattle with no problems. We had a full hour and a half in Seattle before we caught our next plane. We decided to get a bite to eat and explore the airport looking a shops and getting to the right terminal. We found our terminal by catching a train. We arrived at our terminal and looked at some of the shops. We sat down about 15 minutes before we were allowed to board or suppose to board and then we found out our flight had been delayed 30 minutes. Luckily we would be taking the same plane to Phoenix when we arrived in Salt Lake City so we thought we would not have to get off the plane in SLC. We finally got on our plane and we left Seattle enroute to SLC. We arrived in Salt Lake City and found out our plane needed to be swapped out with another plane so we got off the plane and waited a half an hour to get on our way to Phoenix. We arrived in Phoenix one hour after we were scheduled to arrive. We got our bag that we checked in for free which was exciting. We waited for my new sister in law to come get us and we drove to there home in Mesa AZ. We just chilled there because we were exhausted that day. Around 7:00 we decided to go to In and Out Burger Joint for dinner. WE came home and waited for the Wilsons to show up. After they showed up we decided to call in a night.
Thursday
we woke up and decided to do a little shopping so we went to a outdoor Mall near where they live. We spent nearly 2 hours there and I got a MInnie mouse shirt, with a water bottle. Camron got a Donald Duck shirt and 2 American Eagle shirts along with other donald duck memorabillia. We left there and went to get a bite to eat at Five guys burger joint. I love that place. I really wish we had one here in the Tri-cities. We left there and went back to the house. Camron and I watched the 4 kids while everyone else went and picked up my Sister-in-law and her family. We took the kids to the park for 45 minutes to let them play. We had a good time. When everyone got home we were really excited to see everyone. We went to our hotel to check in and drop our luggage off in our room. our hotel was nice, very comfy beds with a semi good breakfast. We went back to the house and decided to get pizza and wait for the rest of our family to get into town. Well they got in around 9:30 that night and about 10:30 we decided to go back to the hotel.
Friday
we left the hotel around 8:30 and got to the house around 8:45. Grandma watched the 8 youngest grandkids while we made a trip into Phoenix for shopping at LAst Chance. Last Chance is a store where Nordstorms runs for returns and anything that does not sell for a period. THere was a lot of good deals there. I got a black sweater and a sunglasses case. Camron got a new pair of Adidas shoes and a sunglasses case all for 60 bucks. We left Last Chance and went to Jamba Juice. It was so yummy. We went to Subway after that. We came home and Camron, Jon, Tim and Leslie, Cara and Corbin got ready for the rehearsal. Laura and I got the girls and ourselves ready for the baptism. When everyone got back to the house we left for the baptism. THe baptism was wonderful and we all took pictures afterwords of the whole family. We left the baptism and went home to change. We all changed and went to Jessicas parents for a rehearsal dinner. They have a beautiful home that was well landscaped. We enjoyed dinner that night and visited with both sides of the family. The kids enjoyed running around with each other and we just had a ball hanging out with family. We went home to drop off the kids who fell asleep in the car on the ride home. We decided to go back to the hotel where we were so glad to be at the end of the night.

Saturday
we got up and went to Walmart to pick up a few items that we needed. We went to Game shop where Camron found a bunch of movies for his PSP. WE left and went home to get ready for my nephews basketball game. We made signs and enjoyed cheering for him. After that we left and went to McDonalds. We went home after words and layed the little ones down for a nap, then the girls went and got pedicures. We were a little late getting back to the house and we had to hurry to get ready. WE got ready and got everyone in the car and drove to Mesa for the wedding. It was beautiful. THe grounds were very pretty with beautiful flowers and shrubs all over. THe wedding started and Camron and Jon were groomsmen. The ceremony was maybe 20 minutes long then the girls went back to the nursery and got the kids ready for pictures. We took pictures and then took the kids back to the nursery while we had the reception. THe dinner was catered by Oregianos. After dinner they had the wedding toasts, cut the cake and had the dances. After the dances there was a big dance that was a lot of fun. I think everyone there had a blast we left at 9:30 to come home. WE went back to the hotel for the night.
Sunday
we got up at 6:00 to get ready to leave. We loaded everything into the truck we borrowed for the night and arrived at the house. We left for the airport at 8:30 and got there at 9:15. We checked in and passed through security with no problems. We left PHX at 11:00 and arrived in SLC. WE left SLC at 3:20 their time and arrived in Pasco at 3:50 our time. WE had a great trip but enjoyed coming home to our own beds that night. We slept in the next morning.
